Jamila is headline news, when she confesses killing a high-ranking government official, and refuses to plea for the president’s amnesty against her death sentence. Jamila is sent to a prison led by a cruel warden, Ibu Ria. Inside the prison, the human trafficking that Jamila and millions of Indonesians have experienced as children begins to unravel. Jamila is still searching for her sister who is trapped in a child prostitution syndicate that led to her current predicament. Jamila’s trial becomes a controversial topic when a fanatical group furiously opposes the President’s amnesty.
