Patiwa, one of regent candidates in Kuncup Mekar regency, has to undergo a medical surgery after getting shot in a campaign. Afterward he has to stay at the hospital, receiving treatment for his recovery and waiting to be able to fart. That fart, initially underrated, becomes an important matter involving a lot of parties on the verge of the election day. The panic ensued creates a major conflict between the hospital and Patiwa’s campaign team lead by a smart, beautiful woman called Irma.
A rivaling candidate called Jasmera, always fiery in front of the public, takes advantage of the above situation. Along with Dolorosa, a dangdut phenomenal singer, the vice-regent candidate for him, Jasmera always shouts slogans of anti-hypocracy, planning controversial programs that tend to be eccentric. To hold off Patiwa’s fart, Jasmera has the help of a clairvoyant in order to prevent Patiwa from recovering and joining the second round of election.
The atmosphere of the hospital changes. The head physician, security officers and every member of the hospital institution are at a loss even more when news hunters and various religion groups show up. They gather to pray for Patiwa’s health in an array of different rituals. The hospital becomes very uncomfortable, turning into an arena of politics; a place of hope for many people. In the end, fart becomes an idol.
