Laura & Marsha (2013)
Laura (Prisia Nasution) never thinks of traveling, especially since she becomes a single-parent for her only daughter. Marsha (Adinia Wirasti), Laura’s bestfriend, is a book travel writer who has never been to Europe. But she wants to go there to honor her mother’s departure. Laura then agrees to go there too though a little bit reluctantly.
The journey begins and small frictions arises. Rules are established by Laura while Marsha cooly agrees. Frictions get more intense when Marsha takes Finn in their rented car. Finn never makes it to his destination though. Laura casts him out since she thinks he leads them astray.
Everytime Laura faces trouble, Marsha helps her out. The high school friendship doesn’t seem to warrant the two’s openness to each other. There are hidden intentions behind the trip. Unknown to Marsha, Laura has her own reason why she agrees to go.
So the trip is far from smooth. Events after events lead them to what they truly seek. Everything that happens becomes a test for their friendship; a quest for the meanings of love, life, and an essential journey.
