Indi, a cheerful girl, is diagnosed with scoliosis in her junior high. Because of the disease, she has to use a brace for 23 hours a day.
Before entering the senior high, she goes on a holiday in Jakarta where she meets Mika. They become close friends. The laid-back Mika who always sees life in positive and nonchalant ways gradually helps Indi to return to be a brave and cheerful girl.
Indi disguises her relationship with Mika from her mother. She knows that her mother won’t like Mika who’s much older and has a lot of tattoos. When the couple get even close to each other, Mika reveals something: he has AIDS.
Problems appear when Mika grows weaker and his past is known. Indi’s parents and friends learn about his past although they don’t know about the things that Mika does for Indi. So Mika steps away and leaves Indi. Mika knows that his time is near and doesn’t want to hurt Indi further. In her sadness, in Mika’s absence, Indi knows that Mika in fact will make her stronger and help her defeat her illness.
