Nita, 60 years old, has to look-after her five children, after her husband died. Because of her limited skills and education, she could only work as a laundry worker and a housekeeper in Tangerang, Banten. There are two priorities in her life: meeting the basic needs and the education her children.
Amin Jalalen, peasant who cultivates a state-owned land, lives in Indramayu, West Java. It has been in recent years he dare to work on state-owned land to make a living. But he does not work free of charge. He must pay a rent. The rule that continues he questions, because he thinks the land lease system was not in accordance with the Consitution, which says that the natural resources must be reserved for the people’s maximum welfare.
In Jakarta, Suparno and Sutara work odd jobs as construction workers and motorcycle taxi drivers, Suparno and Sutara stay at a house about 6.65 square meters. Sutara has to share space with five children and a wife.
The four men meet in the arena of legislative and presidential elections. They meet through a common status as voters. They bring hope to the voting booth. They entrust the future through their right to vote. They hope that that council members’ and the seventh president chosen would bring change.
